File Name: glassdoors-top-50-jobs-for-2021

Ep 141 show:
Hello and welcome—you are now in The Perna Syndicate! Every year, the job search platform Glassdoor rounds up the top 50 jobs listed in their database. It’s a fun list to read, and it can also spark a great discussion with young people about their own future careers.
With the workplace going virtual almost overnight last year, it’s no surprise that almost half of the 50 projected best careers for this year are tech-related jobs. But while tech careers certainly lead the list, there are attractive opportunities across a variety of fields, including healthcare, construction, automation, machining, human resources, real estate, and more.
Lists like this can be a great conversation starter with young people. We can ask questions: why would this job make the list? What does a worker with this job actually do on a daily basis? What makes this position over here rewarding? What kind of lifestyle could you enjoy if this was your career? What jobs on this list sound great to you—and which ones don’t?
Of course, this list is just for ideas; it’s not definitive career advice. The ideal career for one person could be an awful fit for another individual. It all comes down to each person’s unique interests, talents, and abilities.
This can be a great opportunity to remind young people that they’re the ones driving their career journey. They decide what fits them and what doesn’t. It’s their life, and it’s up to them to discover the career that will help them make the most of it.
