Welcome to The Perna Syndicate! Some will, some won’t, so what—someone’s waiting. This technique helped me learn not to take rejection personally, but instead to use it to fuel my continued growth as a professional. 

Today I want to focus on the last portion of this statement: someone’s waiting. When you’re offering a product, service, or idea and it’s just not catching on, you need to feel the freedom to move on. 

Somewhere out there, someone needs and wants what you have. They just need you to bring it to their attention. Someone is waiting for you to arrive with the solution they need—so it’s up to you to go find them. 

Someone’s waiting. It’s so hopeful, so full of promise. I found it very motivating, especially after something didn’t pan out, to remember that it would indeed pan out for someone else down the road. It renewed my focus on finding that person, instead of dwelling on the connection that didn’t work out. 

“Some will, some won’t, so what, someone’s waiting” is a valuable perspective in the world of marketing, but it has application for the rest of life as well. Are you stuck on the some that won’t, the things that just aren’t working out? Do you feel the freedom to ask “so what?” and move on to what’s waiting for you up ahead? 

Because if you don’t, you should. Don’t be afraid to move forward and deliver value where it’s needed most.
