Did you know there are really only two ways to view Generation Z? Let’s talk about what they are, coming up next on The Perna Syndicate.

Ep 476 show:

Hello and welcome! I’m your host, Mark Perna, and today on The Perna Syndicate, I want to go back to the basics on Gen Z. Did you know there are really only two ways to view them?

That’s right. Whether at home, school, or work, we see them as either a challenge to overcome—or as a powerful asset to unleash. So what’s your view?

It’s easy for us as older-gen parents, educators, and managers to view young people as a problem we have to solve. It may never have even crossed our minds that these same young people have incredible potential, just waiting to be realized.

But Gen Z is actually bursting with untapped promise. They’re smart, talented, and utterly tenacious in pursuing goals that they find personally compelling. They’re going to change the world—in fact, they already are.

Today, the oldest members of Gen Z are early in their careers. Together with the Millennials, they’re now the largest generational cohort in the American workforce. They’re the future.

There are only two ways to view these young people. When we start viewing them as an asset to be unleashed, then and only then can they deliver everything they’re capable of.

Tomorrow: one of Gen Z’s best traits is also one of their most misunderstood. Let’s talk about what it is on the next episode of The Perna Syndicate. See you then!
