Hello and welcome to The Perna Syndicate! Yesterday, I shared how I’m flipping the script on my health this holiday season and using this time to make positive changes in diet and exercise. This isn’t the norm for me at all, but I’m thrilled with the results so far.
Beyond just the physical benefits, I’m finding some positives for my mental health, too. In 2020, we all realized how little control we have in life. All our routines were stripped away and we had to pivot quickly to keep functioning. Hopefully by now, many of us are out of the initial panic stage. Now, it’s time to make the most of where we’re at.
While I’ve accepted how little control I actually have, I’m also taking steps to control what I can. For me, that’s my health, specifically my weight and fitness levels. I realized that this is an area I can absolutely control for the better. So I jumped in. I found a fitness coach, I committed to exercise, and I’m changing the way I eat and think about food.
Maybe it’s not health and wellness for you. It could be any area of life, but my question for you is, where can you flip the script and take control? What do you have the ability to improve, right now? Taking control in any area of life can yield tremendous benefits for your mental health. And that’s something we could all use more of.
So what can you control? It’s up to you.
